FORECAST AND SUMMARY
AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications arc for Btrong and i variable winds, with westerlies prevailing, and increasing shortly southwards of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. Cloudy and unsettled weather is probable, with rain following generally. Barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency. Atmospheric pressure has decreased slowly since Saturday, and moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds have predominated, and scattered showers have fallen in the northern and southernmost districts, but fair to cloudy weather has prevailed generally.
