Mr. Biley I had undertaken that tho Railway Depart-1 ment would construct and operate tho shelter station and overhead gangways, the board supplying any electric power necessary, but not being called upon in any -way to act between tho train and tho ship. Since then further suggestions for these arrangements had been put forward for consideration by the Union Steam Ship Company. These suggestions tvero now heing considered by the officer h of the Railway Department, and in a few days a general conference would be,held among the interested parties to decido on tho most suitable arrangements. In reply to questions, Mr. Williams said that the proposals soemed to him to he very good, if certain difficulties could be overcome. It was net desirable to, interfero with careo arrangements. His view of the .position "was that the board only had to provide the wharf, and that the Hallway Department and the Union Steam Ship Company had to do the rest The chairman (Mr. A.
