It was announced that during May tho work received included 3!) suits of pyjamas, (it pairs of hand-knit-ted socks.'sl handkerchiefs. 48 gift bags, U hold-all;;., 2i "housewives," 21 muslin shirts, also girdles, balaclavas, mittens, etc. Th,. monthly case of '18 soldiers' parcels was packed and dispatched, and two of Red Cross goods wcro seiit to Wellington. 'Tho members of the Carterton Bowling Club on 'Thursday evening farewellcd two of their number, Privates 11. Hall and A. Colder, who am leaving for tho front. Private Hall was the recipient of a wristlet watch, and Private Colder a set of ebony-backed hair brushes. The Dalelield Methodist congregation entertained Private L.'Tunniclifl'e. of the Thirty-ninth lieinlovcements, at a farewell evening on Friday last, and presented Min with several pseful articles.
