WOEK OP WELLINGTON CENTRE. The report of t'lio executive of tho Wellington Bowling Centre, to .be presented at the annual hieeting on Tuesday next, states that the affiliated clubs number 18, being an increase of one on Inst season. The total membership is 1142. Island Bay mid Petoue Municipal Clubs applied for affiliation during the season. While the application of the former was favourably considered, the executive decided to withhold consent in the latter case. In llio meantime permission to play friendly games with the Municipal Club was granted to affiliated clubs.

Sinco war commenced the cDiih'e has donated the proceeds from tournaments to patriotic funds. The sum of .£G2 was handed over during tlio season. In addition, a committee of ladies and gentlemen appointed by affiliated clubs (with Messrs, V. Dimock and S. H, Underwood as chairmen, and Sfr. J. J. Roberts as lion.secretary) assisted by' Citizens' Gift The effort of this committee proved most successful, and a Bum of .£709 10s. 3d. was netted, and lianded.to the fund. The executive fully realise.? that the success attained is largely due to the- efforts put forth by the ladies' committee, for which efforts, and also to those who donated goods for f"Bo stalls, the executive tenders its thanks. The total anionnt the centre lias contributed to patriotic funds to date , is ,£ll2l 12s: 9d. /
