LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

THE KELBURN CASE

gir,—In your issue of oven date, ilr. M'Carthy.'S.fli., wlieu summing up against ray daughter, is reported to have eaid that "the Court could not accept tlio statement that her father, from a total income of ,£3 3s. a week, had sent her five or six pounds a month. This statement is contrary to fact, and I am not a little surprised to find my wages of j£3 Cs. a week, not £3 3s. a week (another error), ne representing my total iucome. Besides my wages, -I desire to state- that I hove other sources of income of which. I am sure, I can, easily give proof positive even to an incredulous Magistrate. Thanking you in anticipation,—l am, etc., P. M'CAETHY.Hastings, June 5.
