By Telegraph—Press Association Christchurch, June 5. The Addiugton market yardings were small in all departments, but fat cattle, fat sheep, and pigs. There were under 2000 fat lambs penned, and they sold well, averaging about 9}d. per lb. over all. There was good inquiry for Btore eheep, but the quality of tho offerings was poor. Fat cattle were mostly landy-weight prime eteers and heifers, and the numbers, being below those of the previous ,week, there was a rise of about 20s. per head, There was a largo yarding of fat sheep, and the quality on the wholo was good, with a fair proportion of extra prime. The sale throughout was very firm, mainly owing to the keen competition of exporters, and. ■ prices showed somo/ advance over the previous Tveok's rates, ranging from Is. to Is. Gd.J per head in many cases. The storo' cattle were nearly all dry cons. Dairy cowe sold well, as did fat pigs. Most of the store pigs were easier. Storo Bheep: Two and four-tooth owes, 225. 9d. to 2(6. 3d.; four and 6ix-tooth ewes, to 323.; sound-moutli ewes, 13a. lo 27e. Bd.; sound-mouth merino ewes, 15s.
