THE WOOL CLIP .
IMPERIAL PURCHASE. Mr. David Jones, of Dunsandel, recently wrote to the Hon. W. D.'S. MacUoaaid, Minister of Agriculture, asking him what attitude the Imperial Government was going to take up in regard to next Beason's wool clip, and suggesting thnt Mt. Massey and Sir Joseph. Ward should make, satisfactory and early arrangements." - The Minister replied by telegram on Tuesday (sajs the Christchurch "Sun"), stating that the Imperial Government had only purchased wool for one season, and the arrangement was not on the same basis as that in regard to meat, which was for the duration of the war. There had been no intimation from the Imperial Government that it did not intend, purchasing the coming wool clip. Both Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward were fully seized of the importance of the Imperial .. Government's making known its decision in' Regard to next ; 6cason's wool clip without- delay.
