A rank outsider in Idle 'Talk then took charge, and won easily from War Scot-, who was also at a long rice. liajput was a- head away third, and then came Whakat-ina. Galore got knocked back at-.the staxt, and failed to Bhow up on the journey. Foenian, Gaelrwar, and Arlington all carried within £20 of each other in tho Haek Steeples. Fcenian "find Dasher Boy made tho running * for a mile, with Arlington handy. At tho top of the oourso expedition took charge, and he led down the back from Arlington, Waioturc, and Oackwst. At the half-mile Arlington gamed the leador, and, jumping well, he. won by half a length, after an interesting contest. Gacljwar was several lengths away. Cwynno and 'Ormesby fell. . .. Sabine was third, and Quinnß lost Rude showed up well in the Mini Handicap on the first day, but tho 'public would not have him yesterday.
