BRITISH SCHEME TO COMPEL RE INVESTMENTS. (Rcc. Juno 3, 7.25 p.m.) London, June 2. Following tho Government's instructions, tho banks uro not allowing- moro than 3 per cent, interest on deposits, thus forcing many depositors to invest in War Loan slock. The scheme particularly affects dividends, aggregating .250,000,000, which were paid out lo 1,600,000 holders of War Loan security on Saturdny.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
