« AN AMENDMENT PROPOSED. (Roe. June; 3, 0.40 p.m.) London, June 3. In view of tho debate on tho luxury tax to-day, Mr. Bonar Law has given notice of an amendment to the flnance Bill providing, instead of a flat rato or 2d in tho shilling, a sliding scale commencing at 2d. on payments between one shilling anil two shillings, rising to 19s. oa payments of i2os.-Anß.-N.il. Cablo A.S6D.
