F RED JERSEY APPEAL
THE FINAL EFFORT. To-day (the King's Birthday) will be the final day bfi which appeal will be made to the public ,on behalf of the Red Jersey Fund. A special effort is being made by way of a big procession, for which elaborate arrangements have been made, followed by the annual tourna- ; merit of the Dominion Boy Scouts and a grand military display by soldiers from Trentham at the Newtown Park. Those taking part in tho procession will meet at the Government Buildings at 10 a.m., and tho procession will move off at 11 a.m. sharp. The various todies to be , represented are as follow: 800 Dominion I Boy Scouts, with three bands. Section A—Mounted police, marshal, trumpeters, Britannia and Allies (letter-carriers), rc-_ turned soldiers. Section K-His Worship the Mayor, chairman's car, secretary s, car, executive car, Woolston Band. Sec- j tion C-A United Empire (F. Rasey), | Press Baby, German gun and mounted \ riders, Waterside Workers' Band, Lord . Nelson and Staff. Section D-Empire. Defenders (Wellington Woollen Company), Imperriots, Chinaman s garden Lower Hutt), Patriotic Band. Section E-Musical Zoo (Government Printing Office), Miniature Fort (Eastern feuburbs), Winter Sports (C. Smith, Ltd.), ■ Salvation Army Band. Section l'-Navy , League Baby, Sixty-mile Gun (D.1.C.), Ennisniore display, Featherston Military Band. Section Baby, Kirkealdie and Stains, Harbour Board, White Pierrots (George and Kersley , Veitch and Allan collectors, Potone Band Section H-Decorated car (Gamb e and Creed), decorated car (M. Mantbel) Yel-, low Dandies (Te Aro House), James Smith, Ltd., decorated car (the Riallo).
