Robert Cleaver a permit to occupy from year to year under Section 130 of the Land Act. 1908. at a rent of £1 10s.. per annum, subject to the usual conditions.

Mr. V. H: Hansen applied for a leaso of Section 29, Block 111, Puketoi S.D., 13acros 3 roods. It was resolved to grant him a license to occupy for a terra of five years under Section 130 of tho Land Act, 1908, at a rent of £2 per annum, subject to the usual conditions and to his erecting boundary fences. C. Slight applied for a renewal of his license to occupy Part Section 45, Block 11, Paekakariki S.D.. 205 acres. It was rcnflved to grant him a new license to ocsupy for a period of five years from July 1, 1918, at a rent of £5 per annum, subject to the usual conditions. Willi reference to the postponement of consideration on April 26 of Mr. C. P. HanBon'B application for a licenee to occupy about 68 acres of Waiouru Township Reserve, an application for the same land has .also been received from Mr. A. Peters. It was resolved to grant Mr. Petere a permit to occupy this land from year to year under Section 130 of the Land Act. 1903, at u rental of £Z Its. uer annum, subject to the usual conditions. Tho Superintendent of the State Ad"snoes Office wrote with reference to an offer made of £25 for building on Section 45. Normaudalo Settlement. It was ' resolved to authorise the Commissiouer to if*uo a permit for the removal of this building on payment of £25 to the State Advances Office. • A report was received from the ranger on the milling timber on Haetihi 2a Block, National Endowment, 202 acres, and applications for a license to mill this timber were received from Messrs. Geo. Syme and Co.. tho Peilding Sash and Door Co., Ltd., and tho Paraeroa Sawmilling Co., Ltd. It was resolved to ofler by public auction a license to mill this timber at an upset price of £3950. The board reconsidered the question ae to mode of dealing with Section 9 Block VI, Whirinabi S.D., 18 acres. It was resolved to grant Mr. J.' h. Cowan a permit to occupy it from year to year under Section 130 of tho Land Act, 1908, at a rent of £8 per annum, subject to certain conditions. Thomas Butler applied for a license to split dead timber on Crown Land Blocks V XII and XVI Jfanganui S.D.,—Granted. The Commissioner submitted a scheme of flubdivision of an estate being purchased as an addition to Pukenarau Settlement. It was resolved to approve the scli^me.
