North Island millers are still : open to purchase, but as wheat l\as to be sent to Lyttelton to he graded business with the north is being restricted. ! ■ There is practically no demand for ! ; chaff unless it is prime, owing to the difficulty of getting it shipped to the :•■ northern markets. Potatoes are also dull of sale, as sup--1 plies are reported to be coming in from Australia. The price is about £i ner !- ton at country stations, though, some ; ■ biiyprs are only offering , JE4 lfls. ■' ■ . . ' White clover is firmer again, and for : clenn seed Is. lid. to 2s.'Tier lb. is now ■■ offered. Red Clover is selling at Is. sd. 1 to Is. Gd. per )b.
