North Island millers are still : open to purchase, but as wheat l\as to be sent to Lyttelton to he graded business with the north is being restricted. ! ■ There is practically no demand for ! ; chaff unless it is prime, owing to the difficulty of getting it shipped to the :•■ northern markets. Potatoes are also dull of sale, as sup--1 plies are reported to be coming in from Australia.
