QUESTION IN THE HOUSE OF' COMMONS. (Kec. May 31, 7.2 ii p.m.) London, May 30. In the House of Commons Sir John Norton Griffiths drew attention to a memorial which had been presented (o Mr. Asquith. in 1911, signed by 280 mem-bers''of-tho House of Commons,• unci'representing all parties, in favour of the creation of a permanent Imperial Advisory Council. He suggested that the Government shouldjendenvoiir to give immediate effect to. tlTe memorial by taking advantage of the presence of many overseas statesmen who were coming to the Imperial- Conference, so that the Government could secure the benefit of their advice on matters affecting tho Empire in relation to the war and after the war. Mr. Bonar Law replied that tho best method of effective cooperation during the'war would bo considered at the approaching meetings of tho Imperial Conference and the Imperial War Cabinet. -Aus.-N.is.
