ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AT OPOTIKI
♦ . .By Telegraph-Press Association. Opotiki, May 31. A daring attempt at burglary was made in Church Street shortly after midnight. Tho plate-glass window front of J. A. Dalgety's je-.vellcry shop was smashed ■with a heavy instrument. The noise of the blow attracted attention, and the burglar became alarmed and ran before securing any jewellery. An activo search for the culprit is being made, but so far it has been unsuccessful. ■
