SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
An enjoyable concert at the Sailors' Friend Society, arranged by Mr. and Mrs. _IT. Tombs, on Thursday brightened tho lives of those who "go down to the sea in ships." Among the contributors were Mesdames Turner, H. Tombs, and Grubhani, Missoo Grabham and Waterhouse, and Messrs. Turner, H. Tombs, and Sewell. Mesdames Turner and Grabbum and Miss Grabham wore at tho piano. Tho short-story competition awl the choruses were very popular. Light refreshments were dispensed by the hostess at the/close of a merry evening. Mr. Moore, missioner, was in the chair.
