M'Adoo has granted increased vages to railwaynic-n ninountinpr lo 300, million dollars (J)C0,0C0,000) annually. Tho oiirht-liour system is also recognised. - To meet the increased wages, Mr. M'Adoo has ordered 25 per mil., increnses in freight rates and half a cent a mile increase in_ passenger fares on all railroads.
