THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P,M, YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong south-easterly winds, changing by east to north, weather changeable with scattered showery especially in tho northern and east coast districts. Barometer unsteady, probably rising soon in the north and falling again shortly in tho south. Atmospheric pressure has increased steadily, in the pnutli, but a storm area apparently centred about the Kermadec Isianas_ has accounted for unsettle'd weather in the northern and east coast districts of the North Island. ■ Cold and showery conditions have continued about loveaux Strait, but fair to cloudy weather has ruled elsewhere.
