CASES DISMISSED. ' By Teloci'aph.—Prnss Association, i Auckland, May 24. The cases arising out of the recent seizure, of Sandi'ord and Company's trawlers, Countess and Muriel, terminated 10-dny after a hearing occupying several diiyu. The respective masters were, charged with trawling within the prohibited limits of Hauraki Gulf, and not carrying trawling lights. I'lie cases were dismissed, the Magistrate sayjng that there was great doubt as to the position of the vessels. It was shown in evidence that the inspector had pointed out various landmarks whtaji witnesses for defence- asserted-wero not those named by him.
