Advice ■■ has been received by Captain George Mayall, of Mount Eden, .Auckland, that, his son, Sergeant David May-all,-has been awarded the Military Medal for meritorious v,~ork m the nelil. Sergeant Mayall left New Zealand with the i Main Body. Whilst a patient iir hospital, in October, 1917, he voluntarily acted as a donor for blood transfusion, with the object of saving the life of a. comrade. The army commander in rou- , tine orders has expressed his , appreciation of the gallant conduct of Sergeant' Mayall. Thre« of Captaiu Mayall's sons are,now at the front, a fourth having returned recently". •' ■
