MIRAMAR MATTERS

■ MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. The Miramar Borough Council met last evening. There were present the Mayor (Sir. P. Townsend), Councillors Underwood, H. K. Rohertshaw.-and .£ A. Chap, man. Councillor Chapman, who was elected at the by-election on May 17, was sworn in, and welcomed. ' A deputation from the-Tire Brigade waited on the council, and asked for an additional station at Miramar, and also for the purchase of extra plnnt to ensure the safety of members at fire 3, The matters are to be considered at the next meeting of the council.
