Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held their fort, nightly, sale at Taihape on Wednesday, ilhen a good yarding of aheep and catlie came forward. There was a good attendance of buyers, and practically all lines submitted met with ready salo at prices in favour of buyers. Quotations :-Small mixed lambs, 7s. Id. to Bs. 10d.; good mixed lambs, to 18s. 9cL; medium lambs, 12s. 9d, to 14b. 3d.; empty ewes, 21s.' Id.; aged ewes, in lamb, 15s. Id. to 17s. Bd.; 4-tooth wethers, to 31s. Id. Cattle: Fat cows, £11 4s. to £12; stove cows, to £8 2s.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson £ud Co., Ltd., report having oflered a fair_entry»(bf sheep at the Colombo Koad yards on Wednesday. Bidding was inolined to drag, but a total clearance was made at the following prices:—Forward empty ewes, 20s. 7d., 235. Id., to 245. 6d.; wether lambs, to 17s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At our Waihanao yardß on Wednesday, we submitted a large yarding of both sheep and cattle to a fair attendance of buyers, and cleared a largo portion of our ontry at satisfactory prices. We sold good wother lambs, 20a.; medium ditto. 16s. Id.; owe Jamba, 19s. 9d.; 18-month Holstoin heiferß, r.w.b., £6 10b.; 18-months Jersey heifers, r.w.b., £5 10s.; weaner heifers, £$ 2s. 6d.; weaner Holstein steers, £4 135.; weuner S.H. steers, £5 135.; weaner B.H. holfers, £4 5b.; weaner steers (mixed), £4 55.; light fat cows, £9 12s. 6d.; forward oows, to £8.
