A. & P. WORKERS' CONFERENCE
MAORI REPRESENTATION. ' On, resuming business yesterday the conference of the.A. and P. AVorkers' Union went into committee', lo consider ■ways and means to efficiently organise the Otago and Southland musterers and thrashing-mill workers. .The committee eet up to draft a rule to provide for Maori representation at conferences presented its report. The rule brought down arranged for Maori representation from the Hawke's Bay, Gieborne, and East Coast districts. It ■was unanimously endorsed, all the delegates speaking to the resolution to adopt the Tule uniting in asserting tlie right of the Maori members to distinct representation. It was also urged that rubs and explanatory leaflets should be printed in the Maori language for distribution. Means of organising the election of Maori delegates were fully discussed, and local meetings were proposed to en'able the Maoris to consider the various candidates; ■ •
