GOTHAS BROUGHT DOWN IN FLAMES

London, Mav 20. The Press Bureau states: "Hostile aircraft crossed Uie const tf Kent and Essex at 11 p.m. on Sunday. As they woro going to London four of Uio aeroplanes were brought down. The raid appears to havo been on a largo scale, and a considerable number of lmm)>s was dropped.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aesu.Kculer. Other reports state that thirty-seven persons were killed. Tho laid lasted two hours, and many bombs were dropped. Tho raiders were met by a very heavy barrage and several were brought down.-Aus.-N'.Z. Cable Assn. THE OFFICIAL CASUALTY LIST. Olec. May 21, 8 p.m.) London, May 20. The Press Bureau announces that tho casualties from tho air raid in the London district wero: Killed,. 17 men, U women, and G children; injured, 83 men, 49 women, and 23 children.
