The New Zealand Loan and mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received eablo advice from the head office in London that an interim dividend at/ the rate of 2} nor cent, ou account of the year ending Ounc 30 next has been declared upon the 5 per cent, cumulative preferenco stock and ordinary stock of the company. N.H. CONSOLIDATED DENTAL CO.. LTD. The twentieth annual general meeting of the N.Z. Consolidated Dental 00., Ltd.. was held last evening at its registered office, No. 2 Mercer Street, the Hon. J. G. W. Aitkeii, chairman of directors, presiding. Tho annual report disclosed a successful year. After payment of working oxpenses, due provision made for bad and doubtful debts, writing down premises £250, and futures and fittings £216 55., the net profit on the year's business was £3741 11s. 7d., which, with the addition of £1224 13s. Bd. brought forward from last year, makes a total of £4965 ss. 3d. This amount it was decided to apply as follows ::-To payment of dividend of 8 per cent., .£2354 9s. 7d.; 5 per cent, bonus to shareholders on their purchases for the year, £669 7a. lid.: reserve account (making same £7750';. £500; carry forward to next year, J. 1442 7s. 9d. During the year £1650 was invested in New Zealand Government War Loan certificates. The retiring director, Mr. A. Gray, was re-elected, whilst Mr. W. Jt. Hannay was added to the board. The rotiriug auditors at Auckland, Christchnvch, Di'.'iedin, and Wellington were also re-ulectcd. _______
