EOW THE AMERICAN NEUTRAL. EMBARGO GRINDS THE HUN. (Rec. May 20, 9.25 p.m.) New York, May 10. Mr. Hoover (tho United States Food Controller) has announced that the Gerinau meat ration has been reduced from 225 grammes to 150 grammes (about 5 oh.) for each person weekly, and tho wheat ration in Saxony and Wittouburg from 250 to 150 grammes per day. This, is tho result of the Amorican embargo against neutrals. Tho meat rations in England and France have been kept m> to from 21 to 30 on., which is due to supplies which have been tent from America.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
