Oommnrco" learns that the International Mercantile Marino Company is negotiating for tho sale nf a hundred of its British ships to British interests. The transaction, if .-.ompletcd, will involve 900,000 tons, and more than ono hundred million dollars (JSO.OOO.OOO). Tho ships include several well-known White Star vessels, and ilso forty-four freighters. Tho identity of tho purchasers is doubtful, but it is believed that Lord Inchcape and Lord Pirrie are associated with the transactiou.-Aus.-N.Z, Cablo Aesn.
