WAR LECTURE BY HON. T. M. WILFOIID

On Friday evening in the Town Hall tho Hon. T. M. Wilford will deliver a lecture on the latest phase of the war. At the earnest of the Pressmen of Wellington Mr. Wil'ford has consented to lecture in aid of the funds of the Press Baby campaign, for Red Jersey and Red Cross J/unds. Many will no doubt welcome the opportunity of hearing wlint fro lecturer has to say m the big German push and tho gallant stand ninde by the British and French Armies against overwhelming odds. The evening promises to bo a notable one, for Mr. Wilford will have tho support of 500 children from the State SchooU of the eity, who, under the baton of Mr. Robert Parker, will sing inspiriting choruses. In order that the children may be able to enjoy tho full educational value of tho lecture Mr. Wilford has thoughtfully arranged for the erection of a special plntforni, which will enable the scholars in . the choir seats to follow the lecturer's remarks inoro closely by means of his blackboard drawings. Tho box plan for the lecture will open at the Bristol today.
