Schwab, director'of the Emergency Fleet Corporation, says that lie expects to achieve a production of from three to four 10,000-ton ships a day "this month." He says-. "We will launch one 10,000-tonner" every day; by October, two; by tho middle of next year, three or four." A Government plant for bnildiiig concrete ships is to bo erected at a cost of two millions sterling, to h« erected at Oakland, California. It will employ -iflOO men. and is expected to turn out '100,000 tons, launching on the average a ship per week.—Renter.
