On Thursday a concert v;as given by the Mesdanus Walker :ind Child. Capital work wns done by the following performers, who rendered songs, recitals, piano, and concertina itpms with much taste. The Mesdamen Child and Walker, and the -Misses GawW, Jacobs, n. Tipling, Benin It, and O. Bpnnett, and Messrs Phillips, Mend, and ITolmnn. Again valuable. help was given from near and far in the matter of prizes in (he competition, which went with a vim. Mr. Moore, missionc-r, in thinking the performers, said he daily received thanks from the men for the kindness Of Wellington people in arranging the bright winsome evenings for tho toilers of the sea.
