A largo proportion of the Second revisionists who Slave presented themselves for examination in Mastorton. this week have beou passed us medically fit for service.

The annual installation of Worshipful Master arid investiture of officers of the Masterton Masonic Lodge took place oil Thursday evening. There was a large gathering, including Masons from the whole of the surrounding districts.

A mission that lias been conducted in St. Patrick's Church, Masterton, during tho past week, lias been very largely attended.

Tho animal meeting of voters of tho Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held ■on Thursday evening. The report and balance-sheet showed the trust to bo in it healthy financial condition. Several speakers expressed tho hope that early efforts would be made to extend the educational facilities in Mastorton.

A central school library, for which a vote of ,£'so has been made by the Trust Lands Trust, is being established fn Masterton.

The coat of maintenance in the borough of Masterton has increased by about JCI2OO per year, and it is anticipated that a further increase in rates will bo necessary. The Lnusdownc School Committee has forwarded to the Minister of Education resolutions requesting increased accommodation at the school, and urging the necessity for reduuing the size of classes under tho control of one teacher.
