i The First Wellington Military Sorvica Board nißt again yesterday. Mr. 1). G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided, and tho other members present wero Messrs. D. M'Laron and W. Perry. - An appeal for Henry Charles South was supported by tho Bible, Tract, and Book Society. Two months' leave for (stock-taking was sought. South ivas ordored into camp with tho June draft. Alfred E. Barron, farm manager, Waliganui, who is managing a farm for a man who is doing war work in tho Old Country, appealed, and the board reserved decision.
Private H. Bragg, Thirty-eighth Reinforcements, sought a rehearing of an appeal. and tho matter was adjournvd till next'month.
An adjournment till June was made in tho ease of W. Miller,.machinist, Petono, who had throe brothers at the front.
Decision was roserved sins die in tho caso of 1). R. Probcrl, of the staff of the Pacific Phosphates Company. Non-combatant work is- to be recommended for A. E. Nees, commercial traveller.
Leavo till July 3 was granted William Burgess, a clerk, who had volunteered and been rejected on two occasions. An adjournment' till next month was made in tho caso of Clifford Peel, 6oft goods agent, who had enlisted 60ven times, and was now married and tho father of one child. .
Decision was reserved sine dio in the case of Edward E. llussoll, farmor, Sil.vorstream.
Exemption was granted Murcelino da Abatua, refrigerating engineer for tho Wellington Meat Export Company. Tho board refused to 'recommend tho return of Trooper H. Hobbs from the front. Tho application was made on account of the health of tiio soldier's wife and mother.
Tbo board adjourned till 10 a.m. to-day.
