CAMP NOTES
The cup presented by the Camp Commandant at Foatherston for the best-kept huts and lines lias been awarded to the Fortieth Special Company for the week ending May 18, with A Company, Thirtyninth, second. The Camp Commandant at Featherslou acknowledges with thanks the receipt of the following gifts for Isolation Camp, Tauhorenikau:—Mrs. Q. Donald, Featherston, 1 ease of applw, pallet's; Miss Curd, Foatherston, papers and books. The Camp Commandant also acknowledges receipt of the uwlcnucution' i ed gifts for the uso of the troops at Papawai Mounted Camp:—Miss N. M. Monckton, Marton, bulbs and papers; Messrs. Skeet Bros, Papawai, fruit; Mr. Tilson, Papawai. fruit; Mrs. Bunny, Greytown, fruit; Mrs. L. Smith, Wellington,' books and glassware for officers' mess. The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Trenthani:—Special Physical and Bayonet Training Class.—Corpls. A^_Berendsen, 11. Baker, I'.Tfrsmifli, D.'J. "M'Keiizib, n. 1). M'Kcnzie, I'. 11. 'Dennant. M. V. Bates to be sergeants; Corpl. H. L. Johnston, 38th, Specialists, Featherston, has been appointed sergeant.
