Wright, Stephenson and 00., Ltd., report having offered a medium yarding of sheep at tbolr Colombo Road yards on Wednesday, when a olearanco was eflccted at the following oriccs:—Two-tooth wethers, 255. to 275.; cull two-tooths, 165.; oull lambs, 10s. to lis. Id. The Wairarapa Farmers' stock department reports :-We held onr weekly sale at Mastcrton yesterday, when we oflored a good yarding of iheep and a small lot of cattle. Competition was keen, and wo report a total clearance. Fat owes, 305.; a.m. ewes, in lamb to B.D. rams, 225. 9d.; store ewes, 21s. 6d„ 32a. 6d., to 255. lOd.; shorn white-faced wethor lambs, 16s. 6d. to 175.; mediuni black-face lambs, 13s. Bd.; threß and a half-year bullocks, £14 56. to £16 19s. Tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., Pahlatua report on their weekly sale, held at Mau?aliao yards, as follows;—An exceptionally- good entry of sheep in excess of advertised numbers camo forward. Buyers were present in large numbers from ail parts of the Wairarapa, llanawatu, Rangitikei, and southern Hawko's Bay districts, and competition was particularly keen for the lines of ewes In lamb specially advertised on aceouut of Messrs. Warren Bros., J. 6inclair, 11. Cotter, and others, prices realised showing a substantial increaao on sales rocoutly • reported upon. The quality of the stock offered on behalf of theso vendors was above the average, however, and wore well drafted according to age and evenness. We yarded 7282 head, and so, 7060. Taking" the sale throughout it, was considered one of the best hold in the district for some considerable time. Following is a list of prices;—l96 two and four-, tooth ewes, its. Id.; 365 two, four, and'sixtooth and f.f.m. ewes, 345. 2d.;.174 six-tooth ewes. 365. Bd.: 60 do., 335. 4d.; 461 do., 345. '6d.; 143 two, four, six-tooth and four-year ewes, 225. 9d.; 161 four-tooth ewes, 375. 10d.; 828 two-tooth ewes, 30s. 6d.; 259 do., 345. Id.; 415 /do., 31s. 3d.; 297 four-year ewes, 345. 7d.; 135 four-tooth wethers. 325. 3d.; 371 wethers, 325. Jd.; 61 two-tooth wethers, 325. 4rt.; 446 do., 275. 4d.; 166 ewes, 28s.
