With the exception of .one or two local engagements and air raids by tho Allies' squadrons, the Western front preserves tho puzzling state of calm which has mystified the public for some timo past. There is no indication yet of any major move by tho enemy. Dispatches from Russia state that the Germans have sent an ultimatum to Russia demanding tho German occupation of Moscow, tho disbandmont of military units, and the reduction of afmamonts. There are no material developments else-
