Most of the committees are now working «t high pressuro in tho interest of their particular baby, and the votes that are being placed in the ballot-boxes stationed at various convenient spots in the city and suburbs arc increasing daily, and by tho end of tho week the committee entrusted with the counting of the votes is likely to have its hands full. The last count (on .Saturday evening) placed the first six babies as follow: 1, Gear Co.'s; 2, Press; 3. Northland; i, Plmiket; 5, Miramar; l>, Camp's. Pictures of the babies are being shown on the screen nightly (in sections) at tho King's, Empress, aud Everybody's Theatres.
