RIFLE SHOOTING
KAROEI CLUB. The Karori Rifle Club indulged in class firing on Saturday afternoon. Tho weather was perfect for sport with tho rifle, mid the warm sun and light breozo were responsible for a large attendance of members. Trophies donated by Deputy-President-N. 1 , . Willoughby olid Messrs. James Watson and Co., Dundee, were fired for, the following being tho winners: G. Tinney, 77 points; ti. Hclliday, 71 poiuts; W. Skegjr, 69 points; U. Bagiey, CI points. f SUBURBS CLUB. Tho Suburbs Kifle Club held a successful competition at Minimal , on Saturday, the match boiuji under service conditions as laid down in general regulations of the animal musketry course.. A special prize, presented for this competition by tho markers at; iMirainar and competed for by Karori, Old Navals, and Suburbs Kill" Clubs, was won by H. Boon (Suburbs) with Bli, his score being tho best for tho dny. The weather was ideal, although competitors had trouble with their elevation. Next Saturday the club will tontin no classification practices. The following are some (•( the highest scores:— President Boon, 20—1-1 — 33—19—86 ; R. J. Gray, 20 — 13 —2S — 10 —71; J. A general meeting of members was hold at tlio Old Navate' Boat Shed on Thursday evening last to arrange for n euitablo acknowledgement' for the great services rendered to the dub by their president, Mr. C. Pi. Graham. ),[r. Graham was elected one of the club's doputy-presi-denta in 1912, and in the year following was electod unopposed to the position of president. The president is now- in camp at Featlierston, also the club treasurer, Mr. E. C. Duncan. The club has now lost three treasurers, nnmely, Messrs. H. A. Snelling, I'. B. Winch, combe (in France), and E. C. Duncan. Mr. W. G. Fellingham, who has acted as secretary since the club's inception, was unanimously elected to the position of acting-president. Jlr. W. Cropp was elected u> fill the position of secretary.
