MEN ON LABOUR BUREAU'S BOOKS. A Wellington official of tho Lahour Department stated yesterday that recontly a good many applications had boon made in the city by men desiring farm work. .Apparently, hnwover, there ■was "no work available" for them, as tho men still remained on his books nnBought for. There .were on the register eovoral lads who had hau experience on farms and sheep stations, and these also could not be placed.
