HON. MR. WILFORD AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Sir—lf you will allow me to say so, 1 think your leader on the Minister of Justico and tho Technical College matter gave rather tardy and halting; praise—it praiso indeed—to the Minister for his clear aud adequate solution of a difficulty that has occupied the minds of our socalled educationists for. many years. Who saw the position quicker than the Minister of Justice? Who was readiest in discovering a solution? Tlio Hon. T, 51. Wilford. The city offers .£IO,OOO, and tho Minister clinches tho transaction by offering a Mount Cook Bite in exchange for a site or homo for girls needing reformatory treatment. I do not believe the Minister of Education will thwart his confrere's proposition of exchange, and it is duo to tho Minister of Justico that this solution of a long and pressing problem has been found. As ft citizen of Wellington, and as one who has all his lifo taken an interest in secondary education, and contributed much in ruoro ways than ono to its maintenance, I desire to enter a word of praise and gratification for the splendid .proposition mado by tho Minister of Justice.—l am, etc., E.D.U.
