REMNANTS FROM THE CRIMEAN AND INDIAN MUTINY DAYS. The Royal Patriotic Fund Corporation, in its report for the year ended December 31, 1910, ivhen their investments, costing ,£932,418, stood at the market value of .«,S"4; states that at that date balances of funds <lnting back to the Crimean War wero as follow:— Fund. Atalauta ((1881) 3,'W Transvaal War (1899) 389,3a2 Patriotic General lJ; >. C9i In respect to the Crimean War 457 widows were ,ou the books of the funds on December 31, 1916. Under the Transvaal War Fund 1172 widows and 789 children were on the books on that date, For the first year in the history of the corporation no new cases were entertained in 1910.
