' MATRIMONIAL SAFEGUARDS FOR ' ENGLISH GIRLS. London, May 8. Mr. Akelst'An Ben/Jail, M.P., in an article in tho "Star," protests against the Army Regulations prevonting tho paronts and relatives of English'girls from obtaining tho records of soldier suitors from tho Dominions' records. Ofh'cora assert that some hundreds of women to-day do not know whether they aro married or single. Mr. Rondall adds: "Tho nullity of bigamous marriages can onlv be established by expensive prcI ceodings. Legislation might effect something, but the Agents-General will not move while tho War Office says that this is not its business."
