ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS,

Additional regulations dealing with', war pensions are published in this week eGazette. They deal with the payment of supplementary pensions under the Pensions Act of 1917, and the conditions under which medical treatment is to be given and accepted. AVherc a partially disabled member ot tho Forces in receipt -f a pension is undergoing medical or curative treatment, and is thereby precluded 'rom following any occupation, lio may make application for an increased pension. Similarly a pensioner who is und<. -going reatmenfc while in employment, and vho is compelled for the purpose of treatment toabsent himself from work, may apply for an allowance to cover loss of wages or out-of-pocket expenses. Where a, disabled member .of <&& Forces in receipt of a pension is, under nutiioritv from (ho Dirastor-Goneral of Medical 'Services, an inniafo of a hospital or other institution, the maximum amount that shall bo paid to aim by way of pension either directly or ment with tho authorities of the institution shall lie 10s. a week :nd any balance shall be retained and paid to him on his discharge from tho nstitution. or paid, at tho discretion of /ho War Pensions Board, to the wife or such other dependant as may be determined.
