A letter was also read ex- i pressing (hanks for the contribution of warm clothing made to the New Zealand mine-sweepers. The thoughtfulncss of tho ladies in .making provision for some additional comfort for tho men engaged on. our own coast was vory much appreciated. Mention was made of tho steys being taken to promote fho interests of the Navy League baby in tho lied Jersey and l?od Cross Baby Carnival, and .various suggestions were miulo for securing votes in which tho main branch of tho league offered to assist tho efforts of the Ladies' Auxiliary.

It was reported that tho Department of IntornM Affairs hnd ngreed to the registration of a war fund, pormitling the vnrious auxiliary branches to collect and distributo money in tho interests of mr work connected wit!) the naval and mercantile marine. Members expressed approval of tho registration of the fund, which will be of great assistance in the various patriotic efforts undertaken by tho branch. liefcrenco was made to the loan exhibition which is beiiip; promoted by a jsub-committee, and. authority was (jiven to incur the necessary preliminary expenses. Already a large number of pdoplo havo signified their intention of leading interesting historical articles, but the wish was expressed that people who have articles of art or articles of interest should with Jlp. C. Earle, the lion, secretary of the exhibition.
