SOLDIERS' ALLOWANCES AND PENSIONS
DEMAND THAT INCREASES BE MADE RETROSPECTIVE.

The committee of the Dunediu Returned Soldiers' Association passed a resolution demanding that the increases in the allowances and pensions for soldiers be made retrospective to the outbreak of tho war, mid pointing out that the Minister, by refusing to recognise tho justness of tho claim, has placed a lower value on tho scrvicos of the men who joined the Expeditionary Force early in tile war than on thoso who are now going to the front.
