HOLLAND'S DISPUTE WITH GERMANY
BASIS OP SAND AND GRAVEL SETTLEMENT. , (liec. Jla.7 C, 7.50 p.m.) The Haguo, May 5. _ Tho Butch Foreign Minister has notified Parliament of llio conclusion of an agreement with Germany, ivlio claimed Uio resumption ot' the transport of unlimited quantities of sand and gravel through Dutch waters to Belgium. The Dutch Government has agreed that a maximum quantity, 1,600,000 tons, will bo transported annually, subject to a guaranteo being given that the material will not bo used for military jnwpses. The Dutch Government Las agreed also to Germany's '.econd claim, for tho unhampered exportation o£ 250,000 tons of gravel monthly from Holland to Belgium, and also agreed, after modification, to the Germans' third claim for tho re-establishment of tho railway traffic from Germany to Belgium, vin. Roermond, which has been suspended 6inc© tho outbreak of tho war, tiubicct to tho exclusion of aeroplanes, arms, munitions, and army victuals from,the traffic.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable. A6sn.
