If there aro any children under 16 years of ago tho wifo receives i' 2 a week instead of £1 10s, and in addition 10s. a week for each child. Thus in tho case of a wife left with three children, tho pension would bo £3 10s. a week. In case of permanent and complote disablement the pension is £2 a week for tho mat), £1 for his wife, and 10s. a week ioi each of his children. A soldier with a wifo and thrco children would thus receive £i 10s. a week for the support of himself and his family; The pension is a permanent one, but is only paid in tho case of the children until they reach the age of 16 years. Provision, is mada for an additional allowance up to ,£1 a week in special circumstances, provided .tho total amount of tho pension does not, with tho additional allowance, exceed £a a week. Wlicro tho disablement is only partial, the pension is worked out on a fixed sealo in proportion to tho degreo of disablement. Tho Financial Assistance Board might consider that tho military pay and allowances wcro equivalent to tho pre-enlistment earn, ings of tho soldier.
