The Gormans are reported to have defeatel the Eed Army in Finland and taken several thousand prisoners. The enemy idso has advanoed in the Ukraine territory and in tho Crimea. Mr. Archibald Hurd, the naval writer, discloses tho British plans for a new uffensivo against the U-boats, this time by an extended use of the minefield, for the purpose of blocking the U-boat exits. Internal affairs both in Germany and Austria are at an acute tension.
