CITY'S PLAYGROUNDS
_ 1, ALLOCATION 1 TO SPORTS BODIES. The Reserves Committee reported to the City Council Inst night that it had allocated the city reserves for the present winter season as under:— Anderson Park: Two grounds available—Wellington Football Association, two grounds. Kelburn Park: Two grounds ' avail-able-Wellington Football Association, one ground; Wellington Rugby Union, one ground. Nevtoivn Park: Three grounds available—Wellington Football Association; two grounds; Wellington Rugby Union, one ground. Wakofield Park: Three grounds avail-able-Wellington Football Association, one ground; Wellington Rugby Union, two grounds. Kilhirnie Recreation Ground: Three grounds available-Wellington Football Association, two grounds; Wellington Rugby Union, one ground. lya'll B;iy Reserve: Five grounds avail-able-Wellington Rugby Union, five grounds. The committee had arrived at an agreement 'with the Wellington Cricket Association in connection with the topdressing arrangements at the Basin Reserve as under :-(l) The council to arrange for the purchase of 100 loads of soiC which, together with grass_ seed, lime, labour, etc.. will cost approximately .£IOO. (2) The Wellington Cncknt Association (o contribute the sum of £30 i towards such work. (3) This expondii hire will include the cost of construction of a special wicket composed of a TW-gv soil, obtained from the TownHelt Reserve, opposite Wnkefield Pnrk. This I wicket will be 30 yards by 4 yards, and will occur*' « position indicated to tne groundsman by the committee.
