SOLDIERS AND LIQUOR
AUSTRALIAN LEGISLATION IMPENDING. Melbourne, May 2. A progress report of the Seuato Committee which is inquiring into the effect of intoxicating liquor on eoldiers recommends the introduction of an aiiti-shout-ing Act. on the Hnee of the New Zealand law. It is further recommended that there should be a distinguishing badge for returned soldiers who uro invalids, and that legislation should bo framed prohibiting hotelkeepers from supplying drinlt to relumed soldiers who aro under medical care—Press Assn.
