Tho conference adopted tho teports of committees dealing with l.hn utilisation of man-power ami of the country's resources. Tho man-power report r.dvocat. Ed voluntary recruitment. Conscription was unnecessary at the present time. 'J'ha report impressed tho. necessity of granting a number of King's commissions .to Indians, and substantially increasing the pay of Indian soldiers. The report, of the Resources Committee advocated oconomic control in various directions, the development of the production of foodstuffs and of shipping and transnort facilities, villi subsidies to encourage shipbuilding. It was announced that banks and commercial concerns had promised strong support to the War Loan. Lord Chelmsford, in his closing speech, paid a tribute to the spirit of unity and earnestness which marked the conference and the loyalty ami munificence of the nativo Princes.—lieuitor.
